Kunado Chronicles is an immersive RPG where players embark on a perilous journey through beautifully crafted landscapes, battling formidable enemies and solving complex puzzles. The game features strategic turn-based combat and a branching narrative that lets players shape the story with their choices.

As the game’s release on Steam approached, the team needed to generate buzz and increase pre-launch wishlists to ensure strong early sales. With only 25 days to work with, they partnered with Game Marketing Genie to develop a strategy targeting the USA and UK markets, where the RPG genre is highly popular. The challenge was to build excitement and drive wishlists in a competitive market, ensuring players were eager to purchase the game at launch.

To meet the wishlist goal within the limited timeframe, a focused and optimized strategy across Meta was implemented:

  • Targeted Meta Ads: Campaigns were designed to target users interested in RPGs, particularly those who had engaged with similar games. This approach ensured efforts were focused on the most promising potential players.
  • Well-designed creatives: Creatives highlighted the key elements of Kunado Chronicles—tactical combat, immersive world-building, and an emotional narrative. Visually compelling ads were crafted to grab attention and spark curiosity.
  • Data-driven optimization: Campaign performance was continuously monitored, with real-time adjustments made to maximize ROI and keep the cost per conversion low. Targeting and creatives were refined to ensure optimal performance.

The campaign exceeded expectations, generating 2,752 wishlists in just 14 days—11 days ahead of the original target. The cost per conversion was exceptionally low at $1.4. This success not only set up Kunado Chronicles for a strong launch but also cultivated a dedicated player base eager to engage from day one. By delivering high-quality, engaged players ahead of the release, we helped ensure the game had a solid foundation for success.
